Medication therapy management

Medication therapy management

Medication therapy management involves the patient, physician and pharmacist. Our pharmacist will meet with you to review your medications quarterly and help communicate any changes or recommendations to your physician. Some common changes can be alternative, less expensive drugs, duplicate therapy, drug interactions, or additional therapy needed. Initial consultations are 45 to 60 minutes long and follow-up visits are 15 to 20 minutes. The fee for these services is the same as your prescription co-pay. Consultations can be done over the phone or in person.

“I feel strongly that helping patients understand why they take a particular medication is important. This helps to increase awareness as well as improve the chances of achieving positive clinical outcomes.”
-Dr. Mark Lawson
